Sunshine and mild temperatures allowed the fruit plenty of time to ripen on the vine, leading to lush Merlot and spicy Cabernet Franc components. The nose highlights the cooler part of the vintage expressing cypress, mushrooms and forest floor, with some spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, fruits are rich and powerful dominated by ripe black cherry and plum. The mouthfeel is balanced with soft, silky tannins and vibrant acidity. An uplifting finish with a hint of citrus, lingering dark chocolate and tobacco.
