The Domaine de La Pousse d'Or is distinguished by its 5 grands crus, 11 premier crus including 3 monopolies, in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Offering you the purest expression of our exceptional terroirs has been the Domaine's obsession for centuries.

Today, our biodynamic work in the vines, the long and gentle organic-controlled vinification, accompanied by aging on lees, contribute to respecting the exceptional balance, finesse / richness, of the unique Pinot Noir grape varieties for the reds and Chardonnay for the whites, worked by the women and men of Domaine de la Pousse d'Or.

The plots, representing around 17 hectares of vines, are located in the emblematic villages of Volnay, Chambolle-Musigny, Corton, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, Morey-Saint-Denis and Santenay.

The vines of Corton Clos du Roi are cultivated without pesticides or insecticides, and the only input, manure, is of natural origin. The soil is worked, without weedkillers, to maintain aeration as well as the flexibility of the soil.

Vinification: Manual harvest in boxes, sorted in vats, 100% destemmed. Cold maceration for 7 days, regulation of the fermentation temperature, two punching down per day, vatting for 21 days.

Aging: On lees in oak barrels (30% new) for 18 months, natural and late malolactic fermentation, without fining or filtration, racking and bottling by gravity.

Tasting: Garnet color of good intensity, spicy nose with notes of pepper, clove, dense and powerful palate of ripe fruit; wine of great elegance.

Burghound 90-93 Points
2017 Corton-Clos du Roi: This too reflects extremely subtle barnyard hints on the spicier aromas of red and dark cherry, humus and earth. The relatively supple and forward flavors exude a lovely minerality on the impressively complex and persistent finish that also reflects a hint of acid tang. 2029 +
